#CovidCuts
I used to spend £15 a week on haircuts. Thanks to mastering #CovidCuts I’m going to save £780 per year.
Unlike hair, carbon Fibre doesn’t grow back.
Cutting the fork steerer was the next step in building my Factor O2 VAM. A job I am familiar with, however… when you are holding the most advanced piece of carbon fibre engineering in the pro-peloton, the job feels a little more… intense.
When you cut your hair you can tell yourself, ‘don’t worry, if you fuck it up, it’ll grow back’. When you’re cutting through a piece of carbon fibre, you have to tell yourself ‘I am simply cutting a straight line through a cylinder.’
The job becomes so simple.
I think this is a good lesson for life. No matter how big or daunting the task ahead may feel, it’s usually pretty simple when you break it down.
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, take a step back and process. Don’t be afraid of failure. Life is just one lesson after another.
